About James
Harrison Films – Creating distinctly engaging video content, in the Channel Island of Guernsey and beyond.
Over the past ten years his work has taken him around the world producing a variety of content for clients.
James graduated from Portsmouth Uni in 2009 aged 27, gaining a 1st class BA (Hons.) degree in TV & Film Production, winning a Royal Television Society documentary award in the same year for the short film Mark.
His interest in filmmaking began at the age of 14, producing BMX extreme-sports videos. Documenting this fast-action sport proved a fantastic learning curve and taught him fundamental skills in shooting and editing.
He became a full-time filmmaker in the summer of 2014 and soon began production on his first feature-length, award-winning documentary, Sea Donkey, which was released in 2017 and has seen worldwide sales.
Aside from filmmaking James enjoys spending time with his partner, Emma and their crazy dog. He also enjoys swimming and running. In 2016 he swam the English Channel and in 2022 he won the GUN31 Ultra Marathon.
